Pastor Glenn Taylor grew up in Jesup, Georgia. He began his ministry in 1979 as Director of Education and Youth of First Baptist of Springfield, Georgia, before going to pastor from 1981 to 1987 at Averett Baptist Church in Nelson, Virginia. From 1987 to the present, he has been pastor of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Anderson, South Carolina. He also did graduate work through Trinity College of the Bible and Theological Seminary. He has also earned two units of CPE (clinical pastoral education).

Glenn was married to Terri in 1979. Terri is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Anderson University in addition to being very involved in ministry through Pleasant View. They have a daughter, Megan Williams (who is married to Landon … they had their first child, Emory, on April 18, 2015, and their second, Penn, on December 22, 2016!!!), a son Seth (who is married to Kathryn), and another son, Ethan. Megan teaches English as a second language as well as ministering alongside her husband who is a pastor. Seth is presently living in Germany as he works as a mechanical engineer for Bosch Corporation. Ethan graduates with a degree this May from Anderson University and will be attending Duke University in the Fall to begin working on his Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.) degree.

Glenn seeks to lead the church in never sacrificing doctrinal purity while at the same time upholding our vision of always acting in love. He seeks to preach messages which provide practical biblical instruction for life’s challenges.
